RECENTLY taken over by a new owner, Viwa Island Resort is under renovations to establish it as the best, affordable, luxury resort in Yasawa.
Some time ago the resort said it was in need of some TLC (tender loving care) and the new owners are definitely giving it that.
With 11 air-conditioned deluxe beachfront bure, areas being renovated include the guest bure, main facility area, pool and beach areas, and the addition of dedicated diving facilities, plus installation of solar power which is long overdue.
With the costs, the resort said it could not say at this stage as the priority was to get Viwa looking and feeling exactly how they wanted their guest to feel when they were holidaying with them at Viwa.
“Bring it back to being a beautiful deluxe boutique resort that it used to be. It’s got a beautiful location for holiday makers (paradise at its best I say) and with that it needs a beautiful resort to compliment it.”
The renovation at the resort will be completed by April 1, this year.
