Ratu Navula Inter-house: Radrodro eyes gold at Nadi zone meet

YOUNG Simeli Radrodro is eyeing a gold medal at the upcoming Nadi Zone meet after his impressive performance at the Ratu Navula College inter-house competition that was held at Lautoka’s Churchill Park this afternoon.

The Buretu lad from Tailevu ruled the junior boys 400m final after a strong run outpacing his fellow participants through the race.

He powered his way from the starting block and gained his momentum at the 300m mark and pulled out from the lot in the last 100m to win the race.

The Year Nine student said he was ready for his first secondary school athletics year having featured at the Chow Games in the past years.

Simeli competed in the 100m and 200m events during the Chow Games but switched to 400m this year.

He said his target was to win a gold medal at the Nadi Zone meet.
