SHIWASHNA Raj says she would love to bring pageants to Fiji and let young girls experience this platform and take it to an international level.

Ms Raj, 24, was crowned Miss India Worldwide in New Zealand last month and was proud to represent Fiji and become a role model for young girls to believe in their dreams.

“Being a titleholder has given me the responsibility to change the world in a better way with love and a positive attitude,” she said.

She said though the competition was tough she still managed to give her best.

“During this wonderful journey the other contestants and I did go through challenges, we faced weather issues (thunderstorms) on the fundraising charity event day. I also sprained my left leg while rehearsing a day before the main day.”

Ms Raj acknowledged her parents as well as her family for their never ending support.
