Shalen Prasad was crowned the winner of the Friends United 501 Darts singles competition at Fiji Club on the weekend.
Following closely behind was Shivneel Narayan, who secured the runner-up position.
Salen Singh, a member of the Suva Darts Association committee, said they were happy to have the opportunity to host 48 talented players, including a handful of skilled women participants.
“Representing the Friends United 501 singles competition, we express our sincere gratitude to all who contributed to the overwhelming success of the event at Fiji Club,” said Singh.
“Special thanks are extended to Fiji Club for providing an exceptional venue and to the dedicated DC members for their continuous support throughout the competition.
“Our gratitude also goes out to Damodar Cinemas for generously providing movie tickets and to Neel Shivam of Metro Gym for sponsoring the exquisite trophies and cash prizes.
Noteworthy mentions go out to semi-finalists Ragen Mani and the young 12-year-old Seru Rehaan, son of the late Mereia Ravasiga and Laurance Ram.
Special prices were awarded for exceptional scores, and a special recognition trophy was presented to Christine Inisha Ram in loving memory of her mother, the late Mereia Ravasiga.
