Police charge former FNPF worker

A FORMER Fiji National Provident Fund worker will be produced later in court today for forging legal documents.

Police spokesperson Ana Naisoro said the 41-year-old accused with six others illegally obtained more than $49,000 between March and April this year.

Ms Naisoro said the accused was alleged to have knowingly used forged Certificate of Title documents provided by the second accused, who is a 32-year-old iTLTB staff and colluded with the the accused a 45-year-old travel agent to write the title under his name.

“The second accused is charged with one count of forgery while the third accused is charged with one count of obtaining financial advantage by deception,” she said.

“The 4th, 5th, 6thand 7thaccused have all been charged with one count each of using forged documents and one count each of obtaining financial advantage by deception as they posed as prospective buyers of the land written under the 3rdaccused,” she said.

The seven accused will be produced at the Suva Magistrates Court later today.
