THE newly-renovated National Vodafone Arena which has a capacity of 8000 is built to last as the mistakes of the past will not be repeated.
Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama highlighted this in his address while opening the arena which cost around $16.8m.
Fijians can now proudly boast of a new world-class sporting facility with the opening of the newly-renovated arena.
Mr Bainimarama also highlighted that the redevelopment is more than a facelift given that the last works was conducted 15 years ago.
He also acknowledged the various stakeholders who have assisted with the redevelopment and urged all Fijians to make use of the new facilities.
