Pearls to play first test series tonight against Singapore

THE Fiji Pearls will play their first test series against Singapore this evening at 7:30pm at the Toa Payoh Sports hall.

This is part of their preparation towards the Netball world cup in Liverpool, England.

The girls will be involved in a quad series against the Silver Ferns, New Zealand Men’s team and an All Star selection in June before flying out to England.

Sixteen-year-old, Grace Korovatu, who’s from country New South Wales will make her debut alongside Matila Waqanidrola Unaisi Rauluni, Lydia Panapasa, Laisani Waqa, Asilika Sevutia, Alisi Galo and Episake Kahatoka.

After the Singapore test series the girls will then travel to  Auckland for test matches against the Silver Ferns, Samoa and the New Zealand Men’s Netball team in June.

The Fiji Pearls are in Pool C in the Netball World Cup with Jamaica, South Africa and Trinidad and Tobago.

The Netball World Cup will be held from the 12th to the 21st of July in Liverpool, England.
