THE COVID-19 pandemic has been a blessing in disguise for musician William Waqanibaravi enabling him to work on his newly released album Rai Lesu.

Known in the local music industry as Big Wilz, the Dakuiloa native of Oneata said the pandemic gave him time to finish his album especially after being laid off from Fiji Airways.

This did not dampen Waqanibaravi’s spirits as he set to work on his album with his band of musician friends who called themselves the Gurus of Groove.

Containing 10 classical iTaukei numbers, the new album was launched on Saturday night at the Damodar Cinelounge in Suva.
