National Federation Party leader Professor Biman Prasad says the Government needs to be reminded that the Opposition highlighted legitimate issues and concerns in Parliament.
He said those were issues raised by people who visited their office on a daily basis.
In his response to the ministerial statement on Thursday that was delivered by Employment Minister Parveen Kumar in Parliament on the 2020 nationwide survey on the effect of COVID-19 in Fiji’s workplaces, Prof Prasad said in a crisis, it was important for the Government and also the Opposition to ensure that the most vulnerable people in the society were helped.
“That is the kind of thing we should be talking about here,” Mr Prasad said.
“Not coming out here and blaming the Opposition for raising legitimate criticism and forgetting all about the suggestions that we have given. This is politicking the issue and they keep on praising themselves that they are doing everything right.
“They are not doing everything right, that is the point I want to make.”
