Oceania 7s: New Caledonia hopes for a good tournament

THE New Caledonia men’s team will look to this weekend’s 2018 Oceania Rugby Sevens Championship as a learning process to build up the knowledge of the game for the team and take back home.

Team Manager Mafatuna Tui said there are no big dreams about this weekend and they will focus and taking a better experienced team back to New Caledonia.

“We hope to have a good tournament but the first thing for us is learning about rugby and especially rugby sevens,”

New Caledonia finished tenth in last year’s Oceania Sevens Championship and hope to maintain and if possible improve that standing

New Caledonia are pooled with New Zealand and Nauru
