FIJI 7s coach Gareth Baber has asked his players to keep on working hard in the New Zealand Sevens in Hamilton.

Despite beating Australia 19-12 and Samoa 19-12 today, Baber is not intending to slow down.

“We are not there yet,” he said after beating Australia.

Crowd favourite Fiji opened the scoring when Asaeli Ratuvuaka snatched the ball from an Australian player upon his first tackle.

The Aussies tried hard but got pushed out of the field and committed mistakes in Fiji’s strong defence.

Halftime: Fiji 5-0 Aust.

Aminiasi Tuimaba scored the try of the match after Fiji played from the deadball line for Tuimaba to take a 75 metre dash for Fiji’s second try.

Australia replied with a try to Dylan Pietsch but Jerry Tuwai struck his magic wand to send Apenisa Cakaubalavu to the line.

Australia scored just before full time, but not enough to stop Fiji from winning 19-12.

Fiji plays Argentina at 11.57pm (Fiji time).
