R.C. Manubhai & Co. Ltd Director Rajesh Patel has announced plans to construct a new clubhouse for the Ba Golf Club next year.
Speaking on the opening day of the 54th R.C. Manubhai Ba Golf Open at the FSC Golf Club yesterday, Patel shared his vision for the project.
“Next year marks the 55th anniversary, so we plan to do something better,” Patel said.
“We intend to build a clubhouse here. The upstairs will feature a VIP room and other facilities. We have plans in place, and by next year, we hope to bring them to life.”
Patel also expressed pride in the company’s longstanding support of the Ba Golf Open, which celebrates its 54th year of sponsorship this year.
“It’s very exciting to see a turnout of 120 participants one of the biggest in years. It’s a record, and over time, people have realized that this event is not just about playing golf but also about socializing and enjoying the experience,” Patel said.
He mentioned the company’s commitment to ensuring a positive experience for all participants.
“As a sponsor, we believe in making sure that players traveling from far away are well-fed and enjoy both the game and the fun,” he added.
Patel, who also serves as Fiji FA president, praised the condition of the golf course.
“The course is in excellent shape, and the golfers are definitely enjoying themselves. Golf is a unique game you don’t play against others but challenge the course itself. That’s the essence of golf,” he said.
