Fiji Airways men’s sevens coach Osea Kolinisau is eagerly anticipating the debut of George Bose and Kavekini Tanivanuakula at the Dubai 7s, marking the first leg of the HSBC seven’s series.
Kolinisau is confident that the two new-comers, chosen for their hard work and skill, will inject a fresh energy into the team as they make their international debut.
He sees their selection as a reflection of the depth of talent in Fijian rugby.
Kolinisau is excited to witness how Bose and Tanivanuakula will perform in a large stadium for the first time.
“I am excited about the two debutants, and it’s thrilling to see them get wide-eyed seeing the stadium for the first time,” said Kolinisau.
“I can’t wait to see them donning the white jersey and bringing out the hard work and skills I saw in them.”
He reassures that there are no injury concerns within the team, with all players healthy and eager to compete.
Fiji will take on Spain at 6.06pm tomorrow in their first match.
They will then take on USA at 9.52pm before playing New Zealand at 3.16am on Sunday in their final pool match.
The men’s cup quarter-finals will kick off at 6.48pm Sunday, the semi-finals will start at 10.06pm Sunday, and the cup final will be at 4.11am on Monday.
