The Health Ministry is seeking information on a 21-year-old female patient who died at the Lautoka Hospital in August this year.
In a public notice, permanent secretary Dr James Fong said if after seven days, no claimant came forward, the ministry would accord the final rites to the deceased.
He said the patient named Vini Vini died on August 31.
“Ms Vini Vini was admitted to Lautoka Hospital on April 6, 2021. Since her admission to the time of her death, no family member had come forth to visit her or claim her remains,” said Dr Fong.
“Our records show that Ms Vini Vini was born on November 30, 2000.
Her last known address was stated Korovulo, Nadi.
“Notice is hereby given that after seven days from the date of this notice and failing any relative or claimant to the remains of the late Ms Vini Vini, she will be laid to rest by the staff of Lautoka Hospital and the Ministry of Health and Medical Services.”
