Make an appointment – that’s the word from the Ministry of Immigration as it announced that it will no longer accept walk-in customers effective Monday, September 29, 2025.
The Ministry said this is part of efforts to streamline operations and enhance service delivery.
“For operational efficiency and to ensure timely service delivery, only urgent applications will be received without an appointment, strictly in the following categories and with the required supporting documentation for medical, official travel, study, work, and returning Fiji citizens and permanent residence (PR) holders,” said Aliki Salusalu, Permanent Secretary for Immigration.
The Ministry further clarified that passport enrolment and collection services will remain available from Monday to Friday, between 8:30 AM and 3:00 PM.
Mr Salusalu emphasised the importance of adhering to the new system, stating, “this change is designed to improve our service delivery and ensure a smoother experience for all applicants.”
