Minister says he will defend himself from allegations of misconduct

A GOVERNMENT minister last night said he would defend himself from allegations of misconduct made against him.

“I have to fight it,” he said of reports that he had been asked to resign.

He claimed he had spoken to the Prime Minister about the issue.

“I am at my work,” he said.

“There are false allegations and I have got appointments tomorrow (today).”

He said he intended to defend himself within the FijiFirst party machinery.

“It’s all false allegations, anybody can make allegations against me and it has been going on for a long time.

“The allegations made are false and I should fight.

“Whoever has made the allegations, I have to fight it, I don’t know where it’s coming from.”
