The Fiji Mine Workers Union president Joseva Sadreu reflected on the 33 years of struggle faced by members in their fight for justice.
Speaking at the phase one payout presentation on Saturday, Mr Sadreu said the payout of $10,000 was long awaited by members, many of whom had passed away.
“It was not easy being on this journey, waiting for what was promised 33 years ago,” he said.
