Men accused of aggravated robbery

TWO men charged with attempted aggravated robbery pleaded not guilty before the High Court in Suva.
Tevita Lesivou and Tevita Bola are charged with one count of attempted aggravated robbery.
Mr Lesivou is additionally charged with a count each of serious assault and resisting arrest for which he pleaded not guilty.
It is alleged that the two attempted to rob a person of his mobile phone and wallet on October 13, 2018, in Suva.
It is also alleged that Mr Lesivou assaulted an on duty police constable.
State lawyer Meli Vosawale informed the court that there were no admissions in the caution interview.
Judge Justice Daniel Goundar has remanded the two and has adjourned the case to December 12, for bail hearing.
