The Ministry of Women, Children and Social Protection says it is phasing out the manual voucher payment process with effect from January this year.

Recipients of this scheme are also advised to expect a slight change to direct cash payment at Post Offices.

The ministry has advised social welfare recipients of the Family Assistance, Care and Protection, Social Pension and Disability Allowance Scheme who collected their monthly allowance from either postal agencies or post offices to note the changes for the month of January and onwards.

β€œFor the recipients on the new payment mode (Criteria B) who have access to Post Offices, you can now receive your allowance by Monday, January 8, 2024. You will be required to present your July – December 2023 voucher cover with the Department of Social Welfare ID card and or National valid ID Card,” the ministry stated.
