YOGESH Lal, who allegedly murdered his wife in Wainikoro last week has been remanded in custody.
Charged with one count of murder, the father of three children appeared before Magistrate Cama Tuberi at the Magistrates Court in Labasa.
He admitted to the offense but didn’t take a plea.
Magistrate Tuberi transferred the case to the High Court.
Mr Lal is believed to have hacked his wife to death with a cane knife.
