The Department of Town and Country Planning approved a total of three major building applications valued at $28.4 million in the month of November 2020.
Minister for Local Government, Housing and Community Development, Premila Kumar made the announcement yesterday while releasing the Building Approval Statistics for the months of November and December 2020.
She said the three major outline building applications approved for the month of November 2020 were:
- Proposed Town House Development on Lot 1 DP 9929 Denarau Road Nadi by Mangrove Jacks Pte Limited worth $22 million dollars.
- Proposed Hotel Development on Lot 9 SO 5658 Vuda Point, Lautoka by Mr. Yathi Rajan worth $4.5 million dollars.
- Proposed Industrial Warehouse on Lot 3 DP 8173 Kalabu Tax Free Zone Nasinu by Lyndhurst Pte Limited worth $1.9 million dollars.
“Furthermore, in the month of November 2020 there were 79 Subdivision and 21 Rezoning applications approved. These approvals are a prelude which will follow the final stage of development that would require Building approvals before construction can commence,” Mrs Kumar said.
She also announced the major building statistics for the month of December 2020.
There were a total of two major building applications approved by the Department of Town & Country Planning worth $4.4 million.
The two major outline building applications approved for the month of December 2020 were:
- Proposed Fuel Tank on Lots 3 & 4 ND 3569 & nd 3570 Vuda Point, Lautoka for Total (Fiji) Pte Limited worth $3.4 million dollars.
- Proposed Commercial Office Space on Lots 5,6 & 7 SO 781 NG Patel Road Nausori for Reddy Diamond Limited worth $1 million dollars.
Moreover, a total of 38 Rezoning applications were approved and 92 Subdivision applications were approved for the month of December 2020.
Mrs Kumar said for major building applications approved in October 2020 was $82.6 million.
