THE Fiji LDS Church College is planning a strong presence at the coming Suva Zone One athletics competition after the school’s inter-house competition on Friday.

School teacher Malcolm Williams said compared with the previous years, the number of athletes had increased which was a good sign for the school.

“Our inter-house competition started last Monday with the 3000 metres and it continued slowly through the week and we have a big number of athletes participating this year, so we are sure to give other schools in the zone a good run,” Williams said.

“Compared to the previous years, we were able to fill in all the events. This year we are building up towards the zone and we aim for the top three positions before we focus on the Coca-Cola Games.”

Meanwhile the inter-house will finish tomorrow (Monday).
