Fiji Water Flying Fijians prop Jone Koroiduadua has achieved a significant milestone in his rugby career by signing with Major League Rugby club, the New England Free Jacks in USA, for their 2025 season.
At just 25-years-old and hailing from Sigatoka on the Coral Coast in Fiji, Koroiduadua is already considered one of Fiji’s brightest up-and-coming talents.
The club says Koroiduadua brings a level of power and physicality that will greatly benefit the Free Jacks’ front row after having played more than 20 matches for the Fijian Drua over three seasons in the Super Rugby Pacific competition.
He has also earned international experience with two caps for the Flying Fijians, including his selection for the 2023 Rugby World Cup.
The club says Koroiduadua plays locally for Nadroga, the most successful provincial team in Fiji rugby history.
It further say he spent two years in France with Top 14 club ASM Clermont Auvergne and even had a stint with the national rugby league team, the Vodafone Fiji Bati.
The club adds Koroiduadua is a destructive scrummager on either side of the scrum, having played an important role in the quality Fijian Drua scrum within Super Rugby Pacific last season.
It says he carries a reputation as a powerful athlete, effective in the collision with or without the ball in hand, a crucial asset for the Free Jacks’ forward pack.
