LAUTOKA stylish boxer Wahid “King” Khan defeated Nadi’s Sailasa Moko by TKO in the Naidiri Boxing Promotion held at Nadi’s Prince Charles park on Saturday, May 3, 2014.
Khan who had earlier predicted a TKO win was elated with his achievement.
He said the win was a sweet revenge for his loss in 1998.
“It took me 15 years to fulfil one of my goals and that is to win against Moko,” said Khan.
“I have been training from last year and I am not surprised with the win.
“I came here to settle a score and I am happy with the outcome.
“I had prepared myself well for this fight.”
Khan said Moko gave him tough fight but he was hopeful of his chances.
The 39-year-old has now set his focus to fight Johnny “The Machine Gun” Singh before he hangs his gloves at the end of the year.
“My last mission before I retire is to avenge my loss to Johnny Singh.”
“I want to end my boxing career on a high note and if given a chance to fight Johnny I will take the offer.”
