Parents and guardians are urged to keep a close watch on their children and refrain them from swimming in flooded waters.

The public is being encouraged by Police to monitor the news and take all necessary safety precautions as some parts of the country experienced flooding especially in the Western Division.

According to the weather bulletin issued from the National Weather Forecasting Centre in Nadi this morning, there is also strong wind warning remains in force for the land area of northern and western parts of Viti Levu, northern parts of Vanua Levu, Yasawa and Mamanuca group, Lomaiviti and northern Lau group.

A heavy rain warning is now in force for the whole Fiji group.

A flash flood warning is now in force for low lying areas and areas close to streams and rivers from Ba to Rakiraki.

A flash flood alert remains in force for low lying areas areas close to small streams and rivers of Vanua Levu, Viti Levu and Taveuni.
