THE week-long Human Rights Film Festival 2018 came to a close last night at the Damodar City Cinemas.
During the closing ceremony, the Acting Head of the European Union Delegation Corrado Pampaloni said this year’s film festival was symbolic as the world celebrated the 70th anniversary of the adoption of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.
“The week-long film festival, which started on Monday, saw the EU and its member states contribute with three movies,” Mr Pampaloni said.
He said this was a testament of how deeply the EU and its member states valued the promotion and protection of human rights around the world.
The movie that was screened last night was titled ” We Want Roses Too” and aimed to portray the deep change brought on by the social revolution and the feminist movement in Italy during the 1960s and 1970s.
