A return to home court this weekend will be a welcome relief for the Manawatū Jets.

The Jets have started the season with two away doubleheaders in the first two weeks – one to Auckland and the other to the South Island – and are still looking for a win after four games.

They are back at home when they play the Otago Nuggets at the Arena, Palmerston North, on Saturday, which should help proceedings.

It will be the Jets’ first home game since June 2019, after all of last year’s competition was staged in Auckland due to Covid-19.

Jets coach Tim McTamney said they didn’t cope well with four games in eight days, so he was glad to be back playing at home and following their normal training schedule.
