A health worker has pleaded guilty to assaulting a former Fiji resident in a nightclub in Labasa.
The incident happened last month while the victim was on holiday in the North, visiting family and friends.
Iliabeta Lawanuku appeared before Magistrate Bimsara Jagodage at the Labasa Magistrate’s Court.
The court was told the accused splashed water on the victim before assaulting her.
She pleaded guilty to assault and Mr Jagodage has adjourned her case to September 25 for sentencing.
