MOSESE Waqakuta’s short life will forever be cherished by his grandmother who played a huge role in his upbringing.

The young man lost his life last weekend in an alleged hit and run accident along Ratu Kadavulevu Rd in Mokani, Tailevu.

Lusiana Marama said she raised Mosese like her own son.

She said the unfortunate incident took away the life of someone loved so dearly.

Ms Marama said she last spoke to Mosese when she left for Lautoka last Saturday.

“I had asked him to go get some coconuts for me to take to Lautoka on Saturday before we bid our goodbyes,” she said.

She said Mosese would do everything he was told.

“He will never say no to me and was obedient.

“How I wish this was just a dream.

“He was a quiet young boy and was very loving.”

Police are searching for a vehicle allegedly linked to the young man’s death.
