The FIJI Water Flying Fijians have thanked all those who have come out to support their cardio challenge to raise funds for WOWS Kids Fiji.

The “London to Bordeaux” Cardio Challenge emerged after the Flying Fijians historic test match win against England with the aim to maintain fitness, boost morale, and engage public support, all while contributing to supporting children with cancer at WOWS Kids.

Flying Fijians strength and conditioning coach Nacanieli Cawanibuka said the players came up with an initiative to help the WOWS program back home.

“Most of the boys have little kids as well. We appreciate the pain and the suffering that most of those families face going through these difficulties,” Cawanibuka said.

“So it was something that we thought of as a team to get our boys into training, get them active, but also for a worthy cause.

“So we’d like to just thank everyone who has generously donated towards that WOWS cardio challenge and a big shout out to the little kids, our little champions who are there back in Fiji watching the boys every week — we feel your support.

“And we thank you all for how you support the team.”
