A former prominent Lautoka lawyer Haroon Ali Shah was produced before the Lautoka Magistrates Court yesterday to answer to a count of disobedience of lawful order.

It was alleged that Mr Shah joined Azad Ali and Timoci Roqara for a fishing trip on Friday last week at Vuda Point.

The trio appeared before magistrate Nayani Kasturiratne.

The trio were all released on $500 bail and warned not to change their addresses and reoffend.

They will reappear on June 6. Two others – Tahir Hussein and Sumit Lal – appeared before magistrate Bandula Gunaratne for also disobeying lawful order and were also bailed on a sum of $500.

They were told to report to the Lautoka Police Station every Saturday between 9am to 3pm and not to change their address.

They case will be called again on May 19.
