The Fijian Drua, Super Rugby Pacific’s newest franchise and global athletic leader New Balance have today announced a new 3-year partnership.

The deal will see New Balance, through its elite teamwear partner Belgravia Sports Apparel (BSA), provide all onfield and training performance wear for the Fijian Drua, as well as supporter apparel products for Drua fans.

It also means the Fijian Drua join a highly prized stable of global professional sporting teams and organisations proudly donning the renowned “NB” logo on the match kits and outfits; which include football clubs A.S. Roma and FC Porto, the England & Wales Cricket Board, Boston College Athletics, and AFL clubs Gold Coast, Melbourne and St Kilda. The Drua are the first Super Rugby club signed up by New Balance.

Interim Fijian Drua CEO Brian Thorburn welcomed today’s announcement: “We extend a very warm welcome to New Balance and Belgravia Sports Apparel as they join our vuvale and become part of our historic Super Rugby journey. It is a massive boost for our fledgling Club to have such an elite apparel partner. Our players simply cannot wait to step out onto the field wearing their New Balance gear, with its cutting-edge innovation and design features which will complement our fearless, fast running, free flowing playing style.”

Thorburn added: “We can’t wait to share our kit designs with Drua fans, which of course include the highly anticipated home and clash jerseys along with a range of other apparel for the team, coaching and club management staff. The onfield and training gear will all feature elements of our unique and distinct Drua brand which was released last week. Our fans will absolutely love the New Balance Drua merchandise, and we’re committed to making it available to fans as soon as we possibly can.”

New Balance Australia Marketing Manager, Joel Hanlon, said “At New Balance, our job is to aid athletes in their pursuit of excellence, whether that means helping professional athletes win medals, or propelling everyday athletes to live a healthy and active lifestyle”.

“We are proud to partner with the Fijian Drua and look forward to seeing their team wearing our uniform, which offers the perfect blend of performance technology and style,” he finished.
