THE Fiji Police Force received a cheque worth $16,332 from sponsors Kontiki Finance as preparations were finalised for the Fiji Police Force Kontiki Finance Inter-District tournament.
Acting Deputy Commissioner of Police Rusiate Tudravu thanked Kontiki Finance for coming aboard saying in doing so, they had contributed in providing a platform in identifying star players.
“With the limited resources that we have, we look out to organisations that are willing to help us expose the talents of our police officers,” Tudravu said.
“We are looking forward to the tournament and those taking part cannot be given the maximum opportunity to showcase their talents without the needed sponsorship.”
The pool draw was also conducted for next week’s tournament.
The Kontiki Finance Inter District tournament will be held on Tuesday, October 22, to Thursday, October 24, at Nasova grounds in Laucala Bay.
