Fast Car

GROWING up he was always different in the family because of his love for cars during his school days.
Owning a fast car was something Krishneel Deo, 24, had always wanted since he was a small boy. Luckily for him his dream came true when his father bought him a Honda Cr-z 2010 model for $15,000 — only a month ago.
Krishneel shares his experience this week as a car lover and his sporty Honda Cr-z 2010 model, 1.3L engine, six speed manual with more than 200k to burn.
“I was always the kid in the back seat looking out the window and saying look at that car, look at that car,” Krishneel said.
He says he plans to modify his car and possibly get involved in future drag races — the only place he knows where fast drivers can unleash at high speeds and be oblivious to all else.
“I’ve been a car enthusiast ever since I was small. I’ve always wanted a superfast car. Something that is really fast like a Lamborghini or Ferrari.”

Looking back he said his interest in cars grew stronger after his father bought a Nissan Silvia he was only seven-year-old at that time.

Krishneel who is a final year Architecture Technology student at the Fiji National University said he attended FNU in 2013 and sees himself working in an architectural firm in two or a year’s time.

“By then I might have my Honda Crz as Fiji’s best Crz.”
The 24-year-old said his car was just a month old and he has plans to modify it.
Before he got his new car he said he used to own a Ford Fairmont and a red Hyundai Veloster.
“The fastest time I’ve driven the Honda Cr-z 2010 model was about 100 to 150km/p. I know it’s illegal but I just wanted to see and know how fast the car can go.”

Apart from school Krishneel also helps his older brother out in running his construction company known as Estate Builders.
He says the construction company is located in Nabua and he is the company’s marketing manager.
Krishneel said the fastest time he had driver his car was 150k.
“I know it’s illegal but I just want to find out how fast the car could go. I’m planning to go drags but I need to upgrade this hybrid at least to win a trophy in my category.”
The former Rishikul Sanatan College student has two brothers and a sister.
He says his father lives in Taveuni and owns a poultry farm that side.
“My dad owns the biggest poultry farm there and he recently got the Small and Medium Enterprise (SME) awards for best farmer.”

He will do that soon to test his car’s speed.
