ST Joseph’s Secondary School junior girls 4×100 metres relay team dedicate their gold medal achievements to their families for always supporting them.
Ro Maraia Bulidromodromo was the saviour for her team as she pushed her way from third place to edge Adi Cakobau School and Jasper Williams High School inches to the finish line.
Bulidromodromo said the win was not only achieved through teamwork but family commitments and sacrifices from their loved ones. “First and foremost we would like to thank the Almighty because of Him and the gift He bestowed on us we are able to compete and win the relay,” said Bulidromodromo.
“This win is dedicated to all our parents and families who have been there for us through thick and thin especially to our coach Banuve Tabakaucoro who taught us the basics of winning.
“I am proud of my sisters and what they’ve contributed to our win and the supporters for always boosting our morale and without them we couldn’t have made it this far.”
The winning team contributed to their school’s overall gold medal placing in second in the overall medal tally with seven gold, four silver and five bronze.
