Update: 3:00PM TRIPPLE international Harry Apted was laid to rest earlier today.
The avid
sportsman had represented the nation in three sports namely cricket, lawn bowls
and hockey.
Apted was
also a pioneer of Marist Hockey and had coached the Suva men’s team to a record
11 Hedstrom Shield wins, a record which remains unbeaten today.
Members of
sporting federations around the nation joined the Apted family as they farewelled the legendary sportsman at the funeral service held at the Sacred
Heart Cathedral today before his burial at the Suva cemetery.
