Renowned composer and performer William “Bigwilz” Waqanibaravi is hosting a ‘fakawela’ music fundraiser this evening beginning at 6pm.
Bigwilz said the music show would feature his backing band The Guruz of Groove.
The band features bassist Philip Tigarea, guitarist Tawake “Tux” Jackson, drummer Johnny Bola and fellow Makare band member Phil Dakei.
“A lot of musicians are doing it tough these days with no gigs, no venues open and no social gatherings which means no private functions,” he said.
“So this event is to hopefully raise some money for musos who are struggling to put food on the table.
“So if you love music and have a heart for these young musicians, please check us out tonight at 6pm on my Facebook page, Bigwilz Waqa.”
