EVERY concern raised by health workers is important to the Ministry of Health and Medical Services.

Health Minister Dr Ifereimi Waqainabete made this comment during his visit to the respective sub-divisional hospitals in Tailevu and Nausori on Saturday. Dr Waqainabete said part of his visit was to inspect the health facilities.

He said it was pivotal that these health facilities satisfied the expectations of the public.

“Over the last few days I have been visiting the health centres around in Suva,” he said.

“There are a few reasons to this visit. I have been inspecting it so that our staff know that I am interested to know how the facilities are and how we can be able to enhance the good work that has been done.

“It is also important to visit and get to know the staff on the ground who are working and I always say that the staff of the Ministry of Health are heroes in their own right and I think it is also important that I meet them and shake their hands just to encourage them,” he added.
