FIJI’S Ministry of Employment, Productivity and Industrial Relations is undergoing a mid-term review reflecting on their current work and to map out improvements needed and to formulate the 2019 to 2020 Financial Year Plan.

The review is being done through a two-day Review and Planning Workshop which began yesterday.

Permanent Secretary for Employment, Productivity and Industrial Relations Salaseini Daunabuna emphasized the importance of the mid-term review and how it will contribute to the successful attainment of the Ministry’s vision of Decent Work and Employment Growth and contribution at national level in transforming Fiji.

“This workshop is important to us as it allows us to standstill, look back, look around, look forward and readjust our planning tools to guide us towards implementing our Vision as a Ministry.

“The Fijian Government requires your total commitment, loyalty and dedication in whatever field of work you are engaged in within the Ministry. I expect your very best to enable us to walk together to achieve what we plan together as a Ministry,” Mrs Daunabuna said.

She reminded and encouraged the senior executives to participate and work together towards achieving the Ministry’s Vision.

“I must reiterate and encourage you all to participate fully in this Planning Workshop, and think of who will be directly affected or will benefit from an effective plan that you will map out today for the next financial cycle,” Mrs Daunabuna added.
