Elated students of Wailevu West District School were starstruck after finding out about the presence of Olympic gold medallist Apisai Domolailai at their school yesterday.
Apisai Domolailai had been on the ground helping in the rebuilding of Wailevu West District School in Cakaudrove in the Northern Division.
Three classrooms were severely damaged at the school and the students had been sheltering in tents under incredible heat since the beginning of the academic year on Tuesday.
Despite this, students of Wailevu West District School were grateful to have had an Olympic gold medallist in their school.
