Swire Shipping Fijian Drua skipper Meli Derenalagi is calling out to the people of Fiji to come out in numbers and support the Swire Shipping Fijian Drua side when they take on the Reds in their last home game in Fiji this weekend.

The Fijian Drua players will have another shot at qualifying for the quarter-finals when they face the Reds in Suva this Saturday, and will be banking on the support of their fans to help them pull through.

“This will be our last home game here, and I am calling out to the people of Fiji to come out in numbers and support your team — the Fijian Drua,” Derenalagi said.

The Drua number 8 said their fans had played a major factor in their past home games, helping them pull off some of the greatest victories Super Rugby had seen.

“We thank all our fans who have been turning up to all our home games in the past, but this is our last home game so we are calling out to all of you to come full force this weekend.”

Meanwhile, Drua head coach Mick Byrne also shared similar sentiments. “I just want to thank all the fans who have been turning up to our home games here in the past few months,” Byrne said.

“We know some of our fans have to dig deep in their pockets to come see us play and we really appreciate all of them for coming out to our games.”

Byrne said the presence of their fans on Saturday would no doubt boost the Drua’s performance.

“Our last home game here in Fiji is a very important one, so having a large number of fans this weekend will mean so much for the boys.”

The match kicks off at 4.35pm at the HFC Bank Stadium in Suva.
