BEFORE dawn yesterday, members of the disciplined forces honoured the gallant efforts of the former servicemen who lost their lives in the line of duty.

A dawn service was held at the Military Cemetery in Suva.

The drizzle did not stop the officers from commemorating Remembrance Day marked each year on November 11.

The permanent secretary for Defence, Osea Cawaru, led the service and the wreath laying with the Republic of the Fiji Military Forces Commander, Viliame Naupoto.

Commissioned staff members from the disciplined services, including the Fiji ex-servicemen and military attaches from diplomatic missions in Fiji also attended the service.
