Dance Fest Fiji 2025 captured the spotlight at the Suva Civic Centre on Saturday, presenting 17 dance troupes in an electrifying mix of island-traditional, contemporary and urban styles.
Performers from Fiji joined visiting companies from New Zealand and Australia in what marked the event’s largest line-up to date. Organiser Tevita Tobeyaweni acknowledged support from the German Embassy, the Fiji Arts Council and the Oceania Centre at the University of the South Pacific, highlighting growing momentum for the local arts sector.
The festival demonstrated its evolution into a key platform for Fiji’s dance community that could also serve as a launch-pad for future performers.
