The winner of the Pillay Garments Champion versus Champion series will be decided at the HFC Bank Stadium in Suva this Sunday.
This after the abandonment of the opening round match between All Freight Logistics Suva and Design Marine Services Rewa at Ratu Cakobau Park in Nausori last Sunday.
Heavy rain made the ground unplayable and the match was called off after halftime.
In a press statement, Fiji Football Association CEO Mohammed Yusuf said the referee’s report clearly stated that the match was abandoned complying with the Inter District Championship regulations.
Yusuf said as a result, the Fiji FA board of control made a decision that the match was deemed to have concluded.
“The match result will be recorded as nil-all,” he said.
“All cards have been recorded and are effective.”
Suva’s Inoke Turaqalailai and Rewa’s Patrick Joseph saw red in the fixture and are on automatic suspension.
Yusuf said the away goals rule was not followed in the series.
“The match will be determined on the aggregate goals scored,” he said.
“If there is a tie after 90 minutes, then extra time will be played. If the scores remain the same, then there will be penalty kicks taken to decide the winner.
“All fans holding on to their tickets will be allowed entry to HFC Bank Stadium via a complimentary ticket from the complimentary gate.”
The match is scheduled to kick off at 3pm.
Prior to that, Suva will face Labasa for the women’s CVC title at 1pm.
Labasa won the 2022 Digicel Women’s Super League title while Ba claimed the 2022 Digicel Women’s IDC.
