The Lautoka Sugar mill started crushing this afternoon.

The first rail carts were tipped by Fiji Sugar Corporation CEO Graham Clark.

The crushing began today after successful pre-crush trials of the boiler fan that failed on June 23, 2020.

Harvesting and cane transport in the Lautoka mill area also commenced today.

FSC has advised members of the public to be aware and exercise caution in the vicinity of cane lorries and cane trains which will be delivering cane to Lautoka Mill.
