COVID-19: Soasoa man to appear in court for failure to comply with orders

Fijian Police have confirmed that COVID-19 patient number 9 will be produced in a special court sitting in Labasa today.

Commissioner of Police Brigadier-General Sitiveni Qiliho said the man had been charged with one count of failure to comply with orders.

He said a special court sitting had been arranged.

Yesterday, Police had confirmed that the 54-year-old man of Soasoa, Labasa was being questioned at the Labasa Police Station.

He had allegedly breached self-quarantine orders after arriving into Fiji from India where he had attended a religious gathering.
