COVID-19: 28 arrested in last 24 hours

Police arrested 28 people in the last 24 hours for breach of COVID-19 restrictions.

Police Commissioner Brigadier-General Sitiveni Qiliho said seven were arrested for breaching sporting activity restrictions, and 21 were arrested between 10pm last night to 5am this morning for breach of curfew.

The Southern Division recorded 14 cases, seven for breach of curfew and seven for breach of sporting activities.

The Western Division recorded two reports of breach of curfew, three cases in the Eastern Division and nine cases in the Northern Division.
