Council congratulates new government

The Fiji New Zealand Business Council looks forward to working with the Government to further build trusted relationships with its Fiji and New Zealand investment partners.

On behalf of the members of FNZBC president Renu Chand, in a letter to Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka, congratulated him on his appointment and his Coalition Government.

Ms Chand highlighted the council’s key objectives which are: n promoting friendship, goodwill and understanding between the business communities of Fiji and New Zealand;

  • maintaining, supporting, promoting and encouraging trade, investment, technical and economic co-operation and tourism between Fiji and New Zealand ; and
  • maintaining, promoting and extending industrial and commercial relations between individuals, firms, companies, corporations, institutions and associations of Fiji and New Zealand.

“We remain committed to our objectives which are aligned with your Government’s focus to further international trade relations, grow Fiji’s economy through private sector, development of local talent and improving the lives of the people of Fiji,” she said.

“As a business council, our long-standing members are from the private sector who have deep ties to economic growth and trade.”
