Veteran bodybuilder Jale Colata said his comrades were putting in all the necessary work ahead of next month’s 2020 Mr Fiji Bodybuilding competition.

Although Charman’s All Races Club will feature a small team at this year’s competition, Colata said they were ready to produce the goods.

“We have done as best as we can and like all teams and sports COVID-19 has been a factor,” Colata said.

“But although the pandemic has in a way halted progress, it has also added fuel to the fire and the Charmans gym has harnessed that fire and made something positive out of it.”

Colata said although it had been a while since Charman’s gym, one of the nation’s oldest gyms won the event they had not slowed down with their preparation.

“The boys are eager and work hard every day, we know we will perform our best at this year’s tournament and are excited to get to work.”

The Mr Fiji Bodybuilding weigh-in will be held on December 11 at Kundan Singh Bread Shop on Princess Rd with the competition proper to begin on December 12 at the Lower Auditorium at the Civic Centre in Suva from 9am.
