Ba Rugby is working on a Code of Conduct that all those participating in Ba Rugby activities will need to sign and adhere to.
This is to safeguard the reputation of the union against adverse publicity and fall-outs from negative pubic incidents.
“The Code of Conduct will be based on that of World Rugby Regulation 18 but customized slightly for Ba,” Talatala Gaby noted.
“It will apply to players, referees, coaches, management, executives and others involved directly in Ba Rugby.”
Such areas to will be covered would be behaviour in public, social media, incidents involving the police, and anything that may deem to be negative towards sponsors and parent bodies.
BRU also plans to set up a Disciplinary Committee that investigates any reported incidents and recommends potential sanctions.
